"I worked as head of a 'one stop shop' for a council for 2 months. The idea was to provide customer focused care at the front desk like 'House of Fraser'..."
...were put in the introduction of every document that government generated based on the idea, so that all and sundry will always see the original thought.
Based on my experience of projects and ideas being taken through process it is often the case that as the idea moves from one set of people to another the essence of the original thought gets lost. This is why I feel we rarely see innovation from any form of committee and why we often see real inventions coming from committed people in very small groups.
This seems (from reading the "about us") to be a forum where small groups, or individuals, can post great ideas and be inventive as well as innovative, these will then be taken through several levels of committee before getting to people who can actually do something about them. Wouldn't it be great if the person who approves the final project actually got to read the originators idea?
