I have a Tier 1 (general) migrant dependant's visa. The visa reads "no recourse to public funds." When I went to register for a GP, the surgery told me they could not accept anyone with that restriction. They were vague about why (something about family health services?) I have a brochure from the Home Office that states health care is not covered under the restriction. But when I called the Immigration and Nationality Enquiries Bureau (INEB)of the HO, they said they couldn't help me. It appears I'm stuck between two bureaucracies who really don't give a fig. I have health problems that need some urgent attention.

William notes: That seems awful.

Not sure what to suggest, or if it's my place even to suggest anything. But it seems Kafkaesque, and very poor service.

I hope they get their act together!
