... I could request an appointment in advance at my doctors surgery by email.
Currently I need to phone in at 8.30 on the morning of my preferred day. The problem is I drive to work at that time.

William notes: This seems so sensible. For a pre-registered patient to do an appt by email is a no-brainer. Also the recep staff can deal with it at a quiet moment and not to that rude "too busy on the phone to talk the the person standing in front of them" thing....

john notes: Our surgery states that we have to phone at 8am to be seen the same day or any time for a future appt.......... which is at least 3 weeks ahead! after spending up to an hour trying to get through everyone has to be at the doctors office by 10 am and be seen in order of arrival..... except there are only 10 seats, reception is round the corner and they dont issue numbers on arrival so you have to try and see who was there before you and slot in where you can!
