We are an independent site, here to get your feedback on public services.
We want to give everyone the chance to say what they think about the UK's government services in an open, accessible forum.
We ask a simple, open question: Wouldn't it be better if...?
March 2009 update: Until recently, experiences were sent to the Innovators Council for consideration.
The work of the Innovators Council has now come to an end. They have told us:
"Many of the comments posted prior to Christmas 2009 were considered by the Innovators Council and from that a number of high-level projects were commissioned by the Council.
Over the last nine months the Council has been testing, developing and piloting a number of the themes that emerged from the best ideas posted on the website.
Also, all the experiences posted on this website were recently [as of March 2009] collated and sent to the relevant Government department for consideration. Any response from the department will be posted here.
A report covering the comments from this website, and the overall work programme and achievements of the Innovators Council, will be published in due course."
We will link to the Innovators' Council report when it appears. Meanwhile, experiences can still be posted on the site for public consideration and comment.
We cover issues that relate to UK public services. So essentially, anything that the government and its policies could reasonably control.
There are 1200 different government agencies in the UK. With PublicExperience, you don't need to know who to talk to - just what you want to say.
You can express dissatisfaction, suggest ideas, or say thank you to care and service providers.
We may contact you again with a message from them if they would like more information. However, whether you reply is up to you.
We won't ever pass on your email address without your permission - see our privacy policy.
There are lots of way to get the issues you care about on the agenda.
We are funded by the Ministry of Justice through their Innovation Fund and hosted by mySociety.
PublicExperience is run by Emily, with technical support from Sam and Anna, based on an idea by William Heath.
To submit your experiences, please use our form. For general questions about the site, we'd love to hear from you at team@publicexperience.com.
